Just a few weeks ago...

Today marks our 2 weeks of being here and it has already flown! We're enjoying every minute of it... we hear from people who've done this kind of foreign excursion, that we'll miss so much about it when we leave, so we're really trying to make the most of every second! Here are a few pictures from right before we left... Aunt Jenny giving the kids personalized farewell blankets... riding the Downtown Houston Aquarium train with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Feffer and cute Callister...

Then we've got the VERY MEMORABLE travel day flying here... Kenny sleeping on the plane, and us arriving with our 20 suitcases, trying to maneuver them around on 4 big carts... getting everything into our apartment (with the help of our kind ward members) and opening Kenny's train first thing...

Then began the assembling the furniture stages that first week ~ beds, closet hangers, dressers... while still leaving time for spinning tops for fun (upside-down, like Papa taught Kenny...)

Then we have the first day of school for Kassie and Kenny ~ watching Kas get on the bus in her cute hot pink jacket, feeling like a 'superstar' (her own words)... and Kenny, in his new class showing off his 'softies' (his new Cole Haan slippers from Greg and Jamie... all the kids have to change into house slippers while they're in the class, so luckily Kenny had some REALLY nice ones!)  Stephen was there to help get them to school - he doesn't start til this week - it took his school a bit longer to assemble his schedule. (Stephen had NO problems waiting a bit longer to return to his studies...)

Finally, we've got the kids playing on one of the cool park toys -- this jumpy thing -- they're on it with India, the sweet au pair (nanny) for some darling neighbor kids that are Stephen and Kassie's age - we're out there playing with them daily...

The kids' first time to see a frozen river!
