It's starting to feel like Fall!

Enough for the cousins to don their winter jackets for nighttime airsoft wars!!

Lots of fun things going on... Dance Chaperoning, Stephen and Kassie completing the Gleannloch Farms Ward Bk of Mormon reading challenge, Daddy-Kenny datenight, & Labor Day celebrations!

More fun... cousin playtime, seminary wake-up, & taking Daddy flowers at HP!

Stephen and his buddies watching over girls volleyball...

Important homeschooling activities here folks... we learned that the word “Lego” comes from the Danish word “leg godt”, which means “play well!” We're taking that to heart.

Cousins at Ward Beach day! (Stephen's in there with all the girls...)

The kids LOVE their Robotics club!

Shannon cleans out my fridge, and grandsons have a sleepver!

Stephen had a funny experience the 2nd week of school. He had dropped off a tub of yummy soft peppermints and a simple thank you note to Mr. Whitehead (the Principal) and Staff for a great 1st wk. He left it with the Secretary, didn't meet anyone else. He was later sitting in 7th pd Spanish class, and heard a knock at the door, and Mr. W sticks his head in and asks if a Mr. Stephen Chalk is there. Everyone oooohs like he's in trouble, and he walks out, and Mr. W is holding his note in hand, saying how much he appreciated that Stephen took the time to do such a nice thing. Gratitude...it goes a long way!!  8-)

First week of school, and STEPHEN'S AN EAGLE SCOUT!

So sad to see these cute kids head out the door, but excited for their new year and adventures!

Early morning seminary! And what a treat for Stephen to see Savannah every morning!

And another month of the filled planner pages, DONE! To combat the crazy, Stephen and I took a moment to shoot some hoops. I didn't know Kas was filming. Ridiculous. It makes me tired just watching this! (Plus he was totally hogging the ball the whole time.)

And Stephen becomes an Eagle Scout!! What a great project - so many people came out to help. Kathy Pagano's wise final words in his Board of Review: "Once an eagle, always an eagle! You can never let your wings dip ~ for you are not hurting yourself... you are hurting those who went before you and gained the right to call themselves Eagles. Always fly high and wear it with pride!"

Here we go - from start to finish... training the first volunteer, Spencer McArthur, to the final "Thank You!" picture for the donors and workers!
