After 6 1/2 years of loving our sweet Geneve, we had to say goodbye. She was sleeping in the sunshine on our driveway
like she normally does, but she always moves when we back our car in or out.
She must have been very tired or not feeling well because I pulled the car out
to take Stephen to work and she didn't move out of the way. It was so awful.. I had barely gotten over the experience with Steig running under my tire in
January, and the nightmare returned all over again. We rushed her into the vet
and her diaphragm had been severed from her chest wall from the blunt trauma, and
they said it would take a $7,000 surgery to replace the intestines, and still
wouldn't guarantee she'd live. We let her go.. the 5 of us sobbing was an unforgettable tragic memory. Stephen was so compassionate to me - he & I initially took her in and he comforted me so kindly that the nurse later told us that another client in the waiting room said she'd never seen such a loving son to his mother. It was terrible for us all - Stephen said, she's my favorite thing in the world and now I
have no favorite thing. We knew we had to quickly fill the void in our hearts so we looked at every breed all over town and chose Bella our sweet Goldendoodle - we love her!

Yay - Kas got her driver's license!! Here's Kassie driving for the first time -- she was AWESOME!!
Summertime fun - temple dates, Chill dates, movie dates, Quick quack, & group dates! Kenny said the funniest thing one day to me out of the blue... good heavens!

Cute Kas at San Antonio EFY! She had the funniest story about her "first kiss", falling into Cole because a tree branch accidentally swat her in the face -- she said she felt so badly she should talk to the bishop or something... we were like, it's all good!! Hilarious!
