Haul out the Holly!

Church Christmas skating party!

Kenny was one of 30 students chosen to be in the Spelling Bee! He did great and made it through several rounds, finally getting out on the word 'Novelist' (spelled it NovelEst).  He's a funny boy. He was recently helping me make soup (one of his lesser favorite meals) for dinner, and he said casually, who is this soup for? I said, for us, and after a few moments, he quietly said, "I think we should give it to the poor."

And this is what happens when a girl has an older BROTHER for a sibling. Her Christmas list includes "Vietnam Military Knife", and even lists the BUDK website. The place Stephen makes his manly purchases.

Kenny's longing note he left for Daron, after a 2-week HP trip to Barcelona. Sweet.

The Annual Klein Stake Christmas Concert! So glad Steff, in particular, could come. 8-)

Thanksgiving at Surfside!!

Our most treasured family tradition... playing all week on the beach in Surfside (Galveston) with the Schmutz cousins! Cold water, sand, food, and good times!

The puzzles...

The sandcastles...

The lounging...

The beach feedings...

The laughing...

The video gaming...

The spotlighting...

The pushing each other into the terribly cold water...

Again...

And again...

And again... the 70 pictures of this particular water struggle don't do it justice. Sterling shall receive my revenge.

It's winter! But not really because it's still warm out...

Celebrating Aunt Feffer's birthday

Good times at home ~

Cute Stephen is growing up.  He accompanied cousin Sterling to a Mission Prep class, they had a blast. He says the funniest things. He told me recently, "I want to have the experience of spending a month in a Walmart to see if I can survive. I really think I'd get freaked out with the lights out at night." My son, a true pioneer. Mission prep class is a good thing for him to attend I think...

My 2 daughters out on a walk... 8-)
